- Postcard of the monument to Volney Rogers at the entrance to Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio, ca. 1939-1960. Rogers drafted and worked to pass the Township Parks Improvement Act of 1891and led the campaign to establish the Youngstown Township Park District. He is particularly recognized for his personal effort to preserve Mill Creek Park. The sculpture of Rogers was created by Frederick Hibbard and installed in 1920 (AL03336).
