An Ohio Open Doors
VIRTUAL MARKER CELEBRATION
Tuesday, September 15, 2020

All around Ohio local communities have been working with the Ohio History Connection to create new markers telling their Ohio stories. Unfortunately, a world-wide pandemic mean that celebrations and unveilings have been postponed indefinitely or greatly diminished in size. During Ohio Open Doors the Ohio History Connection would like to highlight these new markers with this virtual celebration of the stories put on hold.

Congratulations from the Ohio History Connection

Thanks to the generosity of the William G. Pomeroy Foundation many Ohio communities received the funding to make their dream of obtaining an Ohio Historical Marker a reality. We are so grateful for Bill Pomeroy’s vision and for his Foundation’s continued support and partnership to spread the word about the importance of markers in local communities.

Congratulations from William G. Pomeroy Foundation

The Ohio History Connection looks forward to joining each community for a proper celebration when the state reopens and it is safe to gather in large groups. Until then, we want to say CONGRATULATIONS on your new markers!
