Title
Muskingum River Rokeby Lock
Caption
This photograph, taken in the 1960s, documents Rokeby Lock #8 on the Muskingum River. The Muskingum River begins at the confluence of the Walhonding and Tuscarawas rivers in Coshocton, Ohio and flows south to the Ohio River at Marietta. Ten locks constructed along the river allow boats to travel the 112-mile distance of the Muskingum River. In 2001, the American Society of Civil Engineers named the Muskingum River locks a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark (Om3055_001).
